#FilmmakerFriday with Colette Ghunim

  • Stage 18 Chicago 2558 West 16th Street Chicago, IL, 60608 United States (map)

IFP Chicago began in 1987 when a group of filmmakers started getting together to share and discuss their work. With Filmmaker Friday, we continue that tradition by providing a regular meeting space where Chicago's film community can work and network.

Free to IFP Chicago members, Stage 18 Chicago members, and to first time visitors.

Joining us Friday August 17th from 4:30-6:00pm will be Colette Ghunim, a Chicago-based filmmaker. She recently co-directed The People's Girls, an award-winning documentary on one of Egypt’s growing problems: sexual harassment. The film looks at those who are at fault as well as the strong individuals who are fighting back. She is currently working on Traces of Home, a look at immigrants and their relationship with the U.S. and their homeland. Come hang out at Stage 18 Chicago with other members. BYO!. See you there!
