The CineStory Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to nurturing emerging screenwriters through mentorship, writers retreats and fellowships. CineStory Feature Fellows have gone on to pen films such as CAKE, IRON MAN and THE CHILDREN OF MEN, among many others. Our retreat mentors include Meg LeFauve (Academy Award nominated writer; credits include: INSIDE/OUT, THE GOOD DINOSAUR), Mark Fergus (Academy Award nominated writer; credits include: CHILDREN OF MEN, THE EXPANSE), Susan Cartsonis (producer; credits include: WHAT WOMEN WANT, THE DUFF), among many others.

 

With over 20k in cash and prizes, the contest's Grand Prize is $10,000, free entry to the CineStory Writers Retreat, and a 12-month Fellowship program during which two Hollywood professionals mentor the Fellow.  In addition, semifinalists, finalists and winners are eligible to attend an intensive four-day Writers Retreat where they work one-on-one with three working Hollywood professionals.
