Meet the Panelist - Naomi Walker

Naomi Walker has been with ITVS since 2006 as National Engagement Consultant. She coordinates the Community Cinema program in Chicago, partnering with organizations to host monthly screenings of ITVS documentaries followed by discussions, resource sharing, workshops and performances. 

Naomi worked on Good Pitch Chicago 2013 as Associate Outreach Director, assisting Sandi Dubowski and the GPC Planning Team in curating the roundtables for each pitch.

She has acted as engagement advisor on various documentaries, including Louder Than A Bomb and Deaf Jam and created the classroom materials and discussion guide for Kartemquin Films’ Prisoner of Her Past.

She formerly served as outreach director for Cinema/Chicago for several years, expanding their education program to include a monthly film screening series for Chicago public high schools and film workshops for educators.

Naomi taught Outreach and Engagement Strategies for the Documentary at The Michael Rabiger Center for Documentary at Columbia College.
