Jonah Zeiger is a director and producer who has worked in narrative and documentary film as well as in the theatre. He currently teaches at DePaul University’s School of Cinema and Interactive Media. Recent credits include producing “The King of URLs,” which screened at the New York Television Festival and ITVFest and makes its Chicago premiere at the Chicago International REEL Shorts Fest on October 12. He also wrote, directed, and produced “The Art Police,” an upcoming short film slated to premiere this fall. Other projects include “Starring the Extras,” a longitudinal documentary-in-progress about professional movie extras that was presented at the IFP Film Market in New York. Past credits include producing the Student Academy Award-winning short, “True Confessions of a Sushi Addict,” a deadpan comedy that was distributed worldwide and has been broadcast on Showtime. At DePaul, Zeiger founded and produced the CIM Visiting Artists Series (VAS) which has brought in guests such as Werner Herzog, Tim Robbins, Paula Wagner, Christine Vachon, Steve Levitan, and Bob Odenkirk for in-depth onstage conversations about the art and business of making media that matters. VAS events are simulcast on the web and are available for viewing on the DePaul VAS YouTube channel. Zeiger frequently collaborates with his producing partner and wife, Kimberly Harwood, under the auspices of Good Twin Pictures. He holds an MFA from NYU Graduate Film School.
