Marketing Coordinator

(Volunteer—mid April - mid June)

Working with the Assistant and Artistic Director, the Marketing Coordinator (MC) is responsible for organizing and executing the Festival’s marketing and publicity operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the effective and efficient implementation of the Festival marketing plan, media sponsorship fulfillment, materials production, and promotions execution. This position works closely with the Assistant Director, festival publicist, Social Media Coordinator and the festival’s volunteer photographers.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Manage the execution of the media plan, liaising with creative agencies and working closely with in-house designers to meet campaign objectives and deadlines

  • Manage online advertising campaigns

  • Arrange and execute cross-promotional exchanges with local organizations

  • Contribute to email and blog writing

  • Conduct research for the marketing team as needed

  • Help draft and build email campaigns with approved copy and images

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, artists, suppliers, venues, companies and other external agencies associated with Luminato Festival

  • Attend all scheduled Marketing department and Festival staff meetings

  • Provide administrative support to Assistant Director and Artistic Director

  • Keep excellent written records of all correspondence in line with policies and procedures
