A comprehensive four-part workshop, the Producers' Series addresses the challenges of producing a feature film. In 2009, the series is focused on producing documentary features. The Rough Cuts series offers members a chance to screen near-completed projects for the Chicago filmmaking community. After the screening, the filmmakers receive audience feedback and critique. Short Cuts is an evening of short films by IFP/Chicago members.

Each month IFP /Chicago hosts a screening of a new, regionally produced independent film at Facets Cinematique. Afterwards, there is a Q and A session with the filmmaker. This year's selections have included Gary Marks' Dream Havana and Clayton Brown's The Atom Smashers. A workshop with the filmmaker to discuss their processes, both artistic and financial, precedes the film.
