Summer Production Program

IFP/Chicago’s award-winning Summer Production Program takes student through the script-to-screen process of making a short film. To date, the program’s films have won two national student Emmy’s, an NAACP ACT-SO award, and countless other honors.

Hush Wins Top Prize!

“Hush” the film created by our great students at Chicago Career Vocational Academy wins top award in the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival’s High School Competition.  Out of more than 400 entries, “Hush” was chosen as the best.

Summer Production Overview

For the past three years, IFP/Chicago has run the Summer Production Program, taking students through the script-to-screen process of producing a short film that they write, direct and edit themselves.

This program has been a huge success, garnering several awards, including two national Student Emmy’s in both 2006 and 2007, positive press attention, including a cover story in the Chicago Tribune, and, most importantly new skills, confidence and dreams of the future for the underserved participants in the program.
